Building Warrant of Fitness
Inspection and maintenance of the systems on your compliance schedule
What a Building Warrant of Fitness is
Some buildings have systems that must keep working for the building to be safe to use. Under the Building Act those systems have to be inspected and maintained, and a certificate confirming it has been done is supplied to the council each year. That certificate is the Building Warrant of Fitness, usually shortened to BWOF. It is displayed in the building and renewed every twelve months.
Which systems are covered is different for every building. Your compliance schedule lists them, and the annual certificate covers that list.
How 3Yes fit in
Building WOF is not a service we sell on its own. We look after it for our own sites and for the buildings we already hold a service contract on, as part of keeping that plant running. If you are not already a 3Yes service customer, this is not something we take on.
The work that sits behind it is the work we do every day. Compliance schedules commonly list mechanical ventilation and air conditioning, and we install and service air conditioning and heat pump systems and work on ventilation and extract systems. We also have registered electricians on staff, so electrical work is handled by the same company rather than passed to someone else.
